What is the initial investment for a Touching Hearts franchise?

The Touching Hearts system allows you to eliminate high startup costs typically involved with starting a new business, and our proven business model helps eliminate unknowns. Start-up expenses for the first six months of your business (including the initial franchise fee of $39,500) total $52,900 to $75,600. The startup expenses include: office space, office equipment, advertising and marketing, insurance, and miscellaneous business expenses. Touching Hearts will work with you to design a business plan that best fits your goals and location.

How do you determine what my territory will be and will I have a protected territory?

Yes. Choosing a territory is a collaborative process between your preference, local knowledge, our expertise, and demographic software. Territory size is based upon the number of seniors, not the total population. We want to identify how many potential clients, and what their demographics are. Our process will ensure you have a competitive edge. We do this by county and/or zip code, focusing on how many potential clients can afford this service.

What does the franchise fee include?

Franchise owners receive our nationally recognized and protected Touching Hearts at Home brand name and become part of our dynamic company. You receive our thriving operating system we’ve polished through experience in the industry since 1996. The franchise fee also includes our week-long training at Touching Hearts’ corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, which is designed to educate new owners in our business methods and mission. You also have access to the continuing education tools we provide, including a comprehensive support and technology department, billing/scheduling software, innovative marketing/networking materials, and business start-up tools to help you gain success upon inception. Our success depends on your success. We are here to train and support you today and through the life of your business.

Do I need previous healthcare or home care experience to be a franchisee?

To become a Touching Hearts at Home franchise owner, you do not need previous medical industry experience or healthcare training — just the ability to manage and market your business.

Touching Hearts at Home is recognized across the nation for its original care model, which is non-medical in-home companion care. Companionship is vital for health and wellbeing. Companion/homemaker care is what Touching Hearts at Home franchisees are trained in. For this reason, we are known as the heart of home care!

What kind of training and support do franchise owners receive?

Every new owner begins with pre-training prior to a week-long training held at our Minneapolis, Minnesota Corporate Headquarters.

Each owner is trained by the corporate staff, including training with Touching Hearts founder, Renae Peterson. During this exciting and intense week of training, you will learn the Touching Hearts at Home business model for home care service. This is the foundation of every Touching Hearts at Home owner’s success.

You can expect specialized training and ongoing coaching from your corporate trainers, who will help launch you through the critical start-up of your business. You will leave your training week in Minneapolis with a plan for ongoing weekly post-training scheduled calls with one or more of your training team.

Beyond this initial training, we provide many learning opportunities. This includes our annual national seminar, regional meetings, owner-to-owner support, and webinars provided throughout the year by the Touching Hearts at Home preferred partners. Support is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Post-training eases into ongoing support you can trust. Franchise owners specialize in home-care service, but human service is what makes our business thrive.
