A career sales and business development professional, George Efstatos left the corporate world to become a home care franchise owner. In 2013, he opened a Touching Hearts at Home franchise in Northfield, New Jersey.

“I got tired of living out of airplanes,” George says of his former career, “I wanted something more stable. I wanted to be home more often, as my kids are getting older, and so forth. Plus, owning my own business was something I’ve always talked about and thought about doing.
“The flexibility to do it my way was really important to me,” says George. “I did some research in terms of which agencies would be a best fit. There was a lot of flexibility with Touching Hearts’ model. I think part of it was because Touching Hearts focuses on companionship, which is the area I want to be in.”
