Leadership, Experience, and Support Attract Franchise Owners

Millennial franchise owner Flavio Vivas finds senior care rewarding

New Touching Hearts at Home franchisee Flavio Vivas describes his job as the best of both worlds: a great way to make a living while doing work that matters. “We have an opportunity to make a difference every day while building a great business,” Vivas says. “Many industries struggle to find business areas where they can do both, and we have it with Touching Hearts.”

Touching Hearts at Home great business franchsie

Vivas, a member of the much-talked-about millennial generation, points to an incredible support system as a primary reason for choosing to open a franchise with us. Even though the Southwest Pinellas County, Florida, entrepreneur has a background in medical equipment sales and has some training as an EMT, he still values the solid backing of our founder and corporate staff.

We’re always there for you

“During training, Renae Peterson’s (our CEO and founder) experience and tenure in the industry was a great introduction,” Vivas says. “The company’s partnerships with vendors, including insurance and software, are of great value, and they are always just a phone call or email away for any advice or to help solve any conflict or advocate in any circumstance. Touching Hearts at Home provides support, training, and access to a network of franchisees in different markets across the country. They also give franchisees the independence to develop their businesses how they see fit. That dynamic led me to the decision to join Touching Hearts.”

The way Touching Hearts at Home approaches non-medical, in-home senior care energizes Vivas, whose franchise has been open now for a little more than a month. It’s not just about trying to make the most money or checking off a box on a master to-do list. Our great business is founded on compassion, caring and serving others.

Vivas says, “We focus on the connections that improve the client’s outcome. The quality of these connections and relationships is what increases the quality of care delivered and thus improves the outcome of the clients and their families greatly. Most competitors are after the big, Medicare-covered, skilled client, working with very strict and solid service lists that don’t allow for any flexibility. I like to think of us as the ‘boutique’ homecare option since we approach care in a fully customizable manner. We listen to their needs, explore them, understand them and deliver the care based on that.”

The future looks bright for Touching Hearts at Home franchisee

Even though Vivas and his wife, Vanessa, are just getting started in their Touching Hearts business, they are full of anticipation for what the future holds. They know that the Touching Hearts culture encourages growth, but also encourages quality control.

“I expect to see sustainable growth, due to both the projected increases in the client demographics we serve and the outstanding product we deliver,” Vivas explains. “It takes a while, but after enough people have had the THAH experience, more people will want it. We hope and expect to expand geographically as demand dictates. We will also be careful to maintain the highest standards of service and care, even as we grow.”

It’s gratifying work that Vivas says other millennials should consider: “The business requires the energy and versatility that we have so much of. We can bring different approaches and views that our markets lack. I’d encourage any millennials looking to buy a franchise to look at Touching Hearts at Home!”
